Gee Whiz! You know all the cool people. Funny thing about KJP...I constantly find myself wanting to say James Kiel Patrick instead of the right way. It just seems to roll off the tongue better. Anyone else do that too?
Alright Muffy, I didn't see you taking the plunge. Did you?
Looked like a fabulous time.
Looks like fun! ☺
You get a standing ovation from California for this!
Great fun! I wish I could have been there. :)
Looks like a fun day. What kind of boat is that? I have a guess but don't want to hazard it. Also, nice UK genoa.
M. these are such superbly exceptional shots. What was the theme? A Prep Summit In RI?
The perfect way to spend a summer! I live for KJP headbands.
What a fun post! I loved, loved. LOVED this!
I'm sure you had a wonderful time!
Beautiful photos, as usual.
Muffy!
I want to crew next time:-)
It does not get any preppier than this !
Love this post! Looks like such a fun time.
Marvelous. Simply marvelous.
@Susan R - Too bad some of that cool didn't rub off. No plunge for me!
@Patti - It was!
@lorrwill - Most kind!
@John - Right up your alley.
@Alex - Sweden Yachts 340, and I'll pass on the sail comment. Thanks.
@Raulston - That's what I should call it! C says thank you.
@Joy - I love them also and it was great fun to see the new ones.
@myfwbs - Thank you and we did!
@LBK - Thank you!
@j.mosby - You're in. :)
@JulesTX - Quite the compliment!
@mary anne - Oh, thank you Mary Anne!
@Anonymous - Many thanks.
Oh my gosh! What a dream sailing crew! The entire contents of your boat looks straight out of a Northeast Preppy Photoshoot!
Looks like a hell of a good time!!
A perfect day with beautiful people!
Looks like a great day with amazing people, kinda jealous lol
What a great group of ship mates! Looks like the perfect day for a sail.
Muffy,
No offense, your blog is great. For someone who values authenticity, I just cant help but feel that this crowd is exploiting the Preppy Is In movement and will not be wearing the same clothes in 10 years. Also, a man using three names (not to mention selling bracelets) is not prep.
Just my thoughts. I could be jealous of the fun though.
I envy you for the Trip. Nice to get helpful suggestions what kind of stuff to buy. I already have the red shorts.
Greetings from Kiel, Germany
oh, i had a brilliant idea. kiel james patrick watch straps!
This will be probably be one of my favorite post
@sSe - Definitely full of northeast preppies!
@ThePreppyTimes - We all had a great time, with many sunburns to prove it!
@PinkPolkadotAA - Aren't they beautiful, though?
@PPC - It was a hot day, but so much better on the water. (As most things are!)
@Anonymous - I genuinely love his products and respect the way he makes them. Everyone on the boat was extremely well-mannered, fun and looked great. I'm good.
@Anonymous - Kiel, Germany! Fun!
@raizans - That is brilliant! Let's hope.
@prepp - Mine too.
Oh boy, I will probably regret this but here goes...I am preppy green with envy!! I have such a crush on KJP! I have since I bought my first KJP headband. LoL! He makes my stomach do a flip flop. :)
Gorgeous day on the water with good friends=perfection!

Wow I am insanely jealous of your day out on the water. Y'all looked like the preppiest crew in Newport.
Incredibly jealous. We are headed to the shore this weekend, but I am positive the company will not be as fantastic. Wonderful post and pictures.
Love the teak decks on that Swede!
Plenty of wet traction and they stay cool in the hot sun.
What great pictures! You definitely have a beautiful sailboat. Looks like it was a fun day for everyone!
It looks just like a Ralph Lauren ad to me! Pure delight!!
XOXO
Close, Kimberly O. It's Jamestown.
That looked like a good day out. I trust you told KJP to do up the second-from-top button on his OCBD!
Telling an adult to button a button would be quite obnoxious, and not the least bit gracious.
@Anonymous 5:43 - You are so right! (I think the commenter was joking.)
Nothing wrong with leaving the first two buttons undone on an OCBD, especially if it has 7-8 buttons and they're spaced closely together. That's exactly what I did today, actually. Any more and you start to channel Saturday Night Fever, but YMMV.
