Wonderful images and such fascinating people. You must have had quite a childhood!
love the photo of arthur miller!
It is easier, Muffy, to understand how you have avoided the pitfalls of fashion silliness, including the current rampant "prep" silliness, with such people of substance on your virtual board of directors!
Thank you for these great pictures. Part of me wants more details about each, but I even more respect the sense of decorum you have displayed. I am impressed you waited two years into the blog to post these. Speaking of which, happy two year anniversary and 56 thousand profile views!
As someone who has spent more hours than I care to disclose in a darkroom, I love how well your father has captured the very essence of the personalities (as well as the places) he photographs. Thanks so much for sharing!! Now, I see where you get your "eye" from. You either have it, or you don't. ;)
Muffy - Thank you for sharing more of your father's photographs. The Black and White Photographs category is one of my favorites. You must have some great prints hanging in your house.
Spectacular pictures, Muffy. Thank you so much for sharing them with us.
Your readers are, indeed, privileged that you share these historic treasures with us. What wonderful glimpses they give us to a recent past, so beautifully captured!
Regards,
Bitsy
These are fantastic! Your father was really talented!
Thank you...

your father did have a gift!
and what a lovely gift he left you... a childhood peppered with art and nature and an appreciation of life and culture, and such
interesting people!

Happy two year anniversary! I can't imagine life before Muffy!
This is one of your posts that make many of your other posts make more sense. It also makes me want to be a better person. So thanks, I think!
When I saw the first picture, I thought "wow, Muffy's dad really looked like Arthur Miller". I was momentarily confused!
Thank you for sharing your father's photos with us again. What a fascinating life you all shared.Sterling Hayden is one of my favorites, I agree about the socks!
Wonderful
Another great post. You have inspired me to have pictures taken by my Mother in France (1955) and some I took in China (2001) enlarged and framed. You've had a chance to meet some truely great people.
The close-up of Sterling Hayden is amazing, the beard, the lines on the face, just excellent.
thank you Muffy for sharing these photos! Love those socks too! They look like vintage Wigwam made socks.
What a fascinating childhood you must've had!
lovely pictures! Thanks for sharing :)
wonderful photographs ..
The shot of Mr. Hayden is beautiful. Your father was quite a shutterbug!
Thank you for posting the photo of Pat Moynihan. Moynihan was and remains one of those politicians who I am most fond of. The world is a smaller place for his absence.
Wow, these are really, really good....
