Maine. It's not Massachusetts (anymore... and they like it that way).
Love the picture and quote! I don't know why Americans laud the pilgrims and not the puritans, who actually set in motion the blueprint of the country.
Northern Maine seems to think that Southern Maine is Massachusetts, and as such they wish to secede from the state and start their own state (the "real" Maine, they claim.)
Anyway, this is not really related, except that L.L. Bean is in Maine... I was just on their website looking for women's shorts, when I happened upon THIS:
