We opened our sailing season in Newport yesterday, and enjoyed spectacular weather.
We started at the boat yard, where we made the preparations.
A sudden gust of wind gave us an opportunity to test our "dog overboard" drill.
...and then into Newport Harbor.

Later in the afternoon we switched over to the powerboat.
...to get a water view of the Naval War College, where we had visited a couple of weeks back.
A higher tide meant our Captain needed to duck while going under the bridge to Goat Island.
