Boat jacks (stands) always make me nervous.

Muffy Aldrich said...

@YWP - Me too. And if the surge is more than six feet, they say the yard will flood.

I hope you are going to be okay up there. They are telling us that we could be without power for up to a week-- I can tell you that we are not prepared for that!

Muffy,
I remember what that yard looked like during Hurricane Carol in 1954 (well, barely) and you know my family's history there in '38. Ugh! Stay warm, safe and dry everybody.

Muffy, I've always been curious, what kind of boat do you have/sail on that you have such wonderful pictures of on your blog?
I hope all is well, and that you all stay high and dry!

@Cranky Yankee - I was thinking of your family and the Hurricane of '38!

@Matt - The boats belongs to my husband's college roommate and this one is a Sweden 34.

Stay safe Muffy! Will be thinking of you.

That is a starkly unadorned transom on the Sweden 34

Muffy Aldrich said...

@Katahdin - Yes indeed! Although I (obviously) do not photoshop out things like wrinkles, I will when there are privacy issues.

Muffy, I hope you and all your family and friends are safe during this storm!

I will be thinking of all of you!

@Muffy - ah

Surge came right up to one of the yards here. Got the crane tires wet - bad Sandy!
