While it has certainly entered the mainstream of factoids in american society, it should be reiterated that Thanksgiving in the traditional sense was enacted by Lincoln and the North to rest the true origins of the US, indentured servants looking for gold, away from the South and create the mythology we know today as the secular embrace of Providence and a hallmark moment of odd hat wearing, blunderbuss armed religious fanatics that settled in New England.
Regardless, Happy Thanksgiving from below the Mason Dixon Line!

My grandson says that the turkeys in your picture are gobbling "eat more ham".
I would be interested in knowing the breeds.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Hi Muffy:
I printed your pumpkin pie and pie crust recipes and we will be enjoying the results again this year.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, your family, and all TDP readers.

@Anonymous 3:13 - Very cute! The turkeys are Narragansett, Bourbon Red and Broad Breasted Bronze.
& to you... Lets all count our blessings !
Thank you, Muffy, and the same to you!
I think these turkeys are thinking that they wish the Thanksgiving tradition included fish, beef, pork or anything else but them.
Happy Thanksgiving to the only person here who can trace her lineage to the first group to partake after Plymouth Rock!

Maybe not the only one. :]
