This is the time of year when I most miss the farmer's markets and farm stands. And although there are an increasing number of winter markets, almost all of our food now comes from the supermarket. One thing we have most mornings, after I make the muffins, is a blended fruit drink.
In a blender I put:
- A banana (or two if they are small);
- Two big scoops of (organic) whole milk yogurt - plain or vanilla - from a long handled cooking spoon;
- A whole bag (8. oz) of frozen blueberries and a half bag each of raspberries and strawberries; and finally
- Enough orange juice to fill the blender.
