|My copy of Robertson Davies' The Deptford Trilogy, as well as other classics, have passed through many hands and generations.|
Love The Daily Prep and I follow you on Twitter! I like all of the quotes you put up. I figured it was too hard of a question to ask you what your favorite books are. Here is a simpler question instead. What was the last "classic" book you recommended to a friend? I am trying to build on my thin public school bibliography.
Also, I would ask the same question to any of your readers as well. Thanks!!
The last two books I suggested were The Deptford Trilogy by Robertson Davies and Peter the Great by Robert Massie. Both are favorites in our family.
To me, Davies' Boy Staunton character always seemed to fit this portrait of my great, great grandfather, even if the time periods don't quite line up.
